Fraser’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, offering a community friendly experience

Australian expatriate Stewart ‘Froggy’ Fraser has been in Pattaya for some years now and over time has garnered quite a following. The gregarious Aussie is the owner of Fraser’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, which occupies one of the best locations in the city: right on Thappraya Road, with plenty of off-street parking (an important issue these days).

As Stewart notes, ““I made Fraser’s in memory of my mum (Dotty) and dad (Norm), who first introduced me to the joys of bar-life, my mum worked in the kitchen and my dad drank out front. I wanted to create a sports bar where everyone was welcome, including families with children. I think I can honestly say I have achieved that aim.”

For the best family-friendly atmosphere in Pattaya, Fraser’s takes some beating. The pub was created with families in mind and welcomes children with open arms – there is a large kid’s playhouse (fully supervised) separated from the main drinking area, in Dotty’s play room.

Fraser’s is also noted for showcasing live sporting events from all over the world – it’s the sports bar for all sports fans. All English Premier League, AFL, NRL, Rugby Union, Golf, Tennis, Cricket, F1, MotoGP, NFL, Boxing and any other sport you can think of are shown LIVE on one of the 11 large TV screens.

Unique features at Fraser’s are the five private dining booths, each with its own small TV screen that allows you to watch any sporting event in private.

You can, if you wish, sit outside on the open terrace overlooking Thappraya Road, just relax and watch the world go by.

As the expression goes “You are only as good as the sum of your parts”. Fraser’s takes the best aspects of live sport, a buzzing atmosphere, a family-friendly attitude and combines them with excellent food and drink at amazing value for money prices. Their menu consists of gut filling breakfasts, pizzas/pasta, seafood, meat dishes, gourmet sandwiches, Thai food as well as their daily specials.

The drinks menu is as extensive as the food one, with a great choice of draught beers that include Stella Artois, Heineken, Tiger, Magners and Guinness. From 4pm to 7pm everyday Fraser’s have a ‘Happy Hour’ on all draught beers. There is also an ALL DAY 2-for-1 cocktail as well as beer bucket special, giving an amazing value for money drinks deal.

If you live in the Jomtien area and don’t fancy turning out, Fraser’s has a FREE home delivery service between 10am and 10pm, just call 038 251560 and order your food.

Directly behind Fraser’s they have 30 rooms available for a short or long term stay. There are three types to choose from, Deluxe Studio, Junior Suite Deluxe and Junior Suite. Booking details are on their website (www.fraserspattaya.com ). With Fraser’s being located on the main baht bus route between Jomtien and Pattaya it’s an ideal place to stay.

Fraser’s has a different theme for every day of the week, so it’s worth checking out their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fraserssportsbar) which gives you all the daily happenings at the pub.

If you are in Jomtien at any time of the day or night when Fraser’s is open, then make a point of dropping in, you’ll be glad you did.
