Suksabai Residence offers that ‘best of both worlds’ feeling

There are those who want to be right in the heart of whatever the action happens to be in a city like Pattaya, and there are those who want to be close enough to it, but also far enough way from it, to really enjoy a proper holiday break. For the latter, Suksabai Residence certainly fits the bill.

Suksabai Residence is in South Pattaya, with access via Thepprasit Road from one direction, and off Third Road and Soi 17 in another direction. Its location is such that it isn’t far, by motor vehicle or motorbike, to either the shopping and nightlife of South Pattaya or the beaches of Jomtien. Chances are, though, that you’ll find yourself happy enough to venture down the road to places like The Punch and Judy British-style pub and restaurant, or wander down to the vibrant market stalls on Soi 17 or into the Lion pub for a few ales and sport watching.

Then again, given the attractiveness of the facilities in Suksabai Residence, you may well spend most of you time swimming in or lazing around the luxurious pool or sitting in the neat garden area reading a good book or thumbing through a magazine or two.

The management of Suksabai Residence took care to create the kind of ambience that gives guests a feeling there really isn’t much need to do much of anything if you don’t want. The rooms vary from single studios to a two-bedroom executive-style suite, complete with Jacuzzi.

They are beautifully appointed and tastefully furnished, with a coffee machine, microwave, and free WiFi among many of the features.

There is also an in-house restaurant for those who may wish to just stay within the confines of the residence and really totally relax, rather than explore the culinary delights of the city at large.

As with any reputable off-the-beaten-track hotel, Suksabai Residence have facilities designed to help move their guests around the attractions of Pattaya and its environs. During high season they have a free shuttle service, with a set route, that departs at 9, 10, and 11am and again at 4, 5 and 6pm for those who wish to avail themselves of the opportunity to get into downtown Pattaya or downtown Jomtien.

Being only six storeys in height, Suksabai Residence has the feel of a boutique hotel, which, of course, was almost certainly the plan from the start. Those who have stayed in Suksabai appear to recommend trying to book a room on one of the top couple of floors, especially if you like to check out the views of a vibrant city like Pattaya. Being up on the hill helps a lot when it comes to offering that special ‘room with a view’.
