As mentioned in last month’s article in June, some of our key members of the company travelled to Taipei for an international property exhibition. The main goal of was to attract investors and private buyers alike to Pattaya and show them what is on offer. It was our first time to participate in an international property expo and we were not quite certain what to expect. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the outcome. We were able to secure some direct sales as well as make some good connections with overseas buyers and brokers. There was a lot of activity around our booth and many people who attended the show expressed a great interest in Pattaya. Some of the connections we made are already planning to visit Pattaya to see for themselves the kind of properties that are available.

One of the key members within the company, who played a major role in the Taipei trip, is Fiona Wang.  She was born in Changsha city, mainland China. After studying at the University of Hunan, Fiona became an international dealer with a foreign trading company in China. She first visited Thailand in 2007 for Chinese New Year. She fell in love with the country and the Thai way of life. She visited Thailand every year for holidays and finally, her son was born here. She decided to live in Pattaya in 2011. She felt that the education system would be better for her children. She began working as a VIP tour guide. 

Some of Fiona’s clients who visited Pattaya were very interested in buying properties here. So, she began to learn about the market and what was on offer that was appealing to Chinese buyers. She met Kevin Mattson, the managing director of Coastal Real Estate. He lived in the same area as herself and so she asked him for guidance in finding the right properties for her clients. It wasn’t long before the potential in the Chinese market was recognized and Fiona joined the company in 2014. From there on, she has been an asset to the business and her knowledge and experience in the real estate market has grown. She feels that Pattaya is a great place to live because everything is on your doorstep, such as schools, the airport, hospitals, beaches and recreational facilities. You don’t have to travel far to get to what you need. Fiona is the marketing and sales director for the Chinese department within the company. She understands what kind of property is appealing to Chinese buyers and endeavors to find them what they need.
