If you want to get away from it all and live in peaceful surroundings, but yet still enjoy everything that Pattaya has to offer, then Nong Pla Lai is a great place to live.

Nong Pla Lai is a district that is situated to the north east of Pattaya city. At its western tip it is within 1km of the coast and runs parallel with the main Sukhumvit road that stretches northwards from Naklua.

It is in this part of Nong Pla Lai, that Villa Asiatic can be found, a special development of outstanding villas and townhouses. Residents are very happy to have all the hustle and bustle of Pattaya a stone’s throw away, but not on their doorstep. Nong Pla Lai doesn’t boast itself as a tourist zone, so you wont find huge condos, large hotels, noisy bars and traffic congestion here. Instead it is a tranquil area that straddles the end of highway 36 on both sides and is close to the Pattaya end of the motorway that joins Pattaya with Bangkok.

As such, travel is very easy since there is a link road to the main expressway enabling quick access to the rest of the Eastern corridor, both north to Laem Chabang, Sri Ratcha and Chonburi, and south to Sattahip and Rayong. The main Bangkok Pattaya hospital is just 7km away and there is easy access to Naklua Beach and North Pattaya.

Within the district, residents are well catered for. There are a number of local shopping destinations such as Mini Big C and Lotus Express as well as a choice of great fresh markets.

A range of International schools are also located in the vicinity including the very well regarded Regents International School, the International School of Chonburi, Ban Santikham Schooland the Maryvit School Pattaya, making Nong Pla Lai an ideal place for family living.

For coffee shop lovers, Bianco Coffee and Bakery is located just 2 minutes away from Villa Asiatic and serves great fresh coffee and a range of delicious cakes.

There are a number of restaurants in Nong Pla Lai including Krua Ban Pa Boon 2, a popular Thai restaurant, which is set around an artificial lake and serves delicious Thai food.Tangke Seafood restaurant is also a stones throw away as is Tong Dee Seafood restaurant and Café, which boasts a great menu as well as a wide range of cakes and deserts.

Along the coast, within 10 minutes travel time fromVilla Asiatic, is the Café De Beach restaurant and bar which is nestled right on the beach front with panoramic views of the ocean. As well, you can also take advantage of dining options at the Cholchan Pattaya beach resort just nearby, which is a landmark in itself, also located on the seafront.

Other family attractions in the area include the ice sculpture wonderland called the Frost Magical Ice of Siam, the famous Million years Stone Park and Pattaya crocodile farm, The Big Bee Farmand the Pattaya Sheep farm. Also worth a mention is the nearby Monster World and Aquarium, a huge place featuring an overhead walkthrough aquarium with sharks and big fish and another six outside zones, showcasing rare ponies, rabbits, tortoises and exotic parrots, amongst plenty of other animals – great for kids.

For golfers, Siam Country Club is only around 15 minutes away providing seasoned players and beginners alike with a great local golf course that is internationally renowned.

Since there is virtually no traffic congestion in the area it is easy to reach places of interest. This is great since it means that you are not affected by the high season that afflicts Pattaya city, where traffic can grind to a halt and make getting around difficult. Nong Pla Lai really is a hidden treasure.
