UNIXX: When Exemplary Design meets Extraordinary Location
Raimon Land has garnered a strong reputation over the years as one of Thailand’s premier real estate development companies. It has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) since 1994. Naturally, Pattaya is one of its prime locations in which to put together a quality development.
Its next big ‘thing’ is what Raimon Land is calling UNIXX, a freehold condominium consisting of a single tower with two wings, one of 46 storeys, the other 42 storeys high.
To be built at the base of Pratamnak hill in south Pattaya, UNIXX will be, according to Raimon Land, a conceptual ‘Resort within a Resort’ with what they believe will bring out its own unique character and style.
It’s an interesting and somewhat unusual name. The first two letters, of course, match the acronym or abbreviation of the United Nations (UN), perhaps a sub-conscious nod to the many nationalities which are likely to make up the residents of this project.
The XX might well be an allusion to excellence, something Raimon Land strives to achieve in all its developments.
No matter, UNIXX South Pattaya is going to be one of Raimon Land’s more ambitious projects.
An area of four rai (6,400 square metres) will be given over as green space, designed to promote recreational activities. Among the outdoor highlights will be a 35-metre swimming pool aimed to attract families as well as a 20-metre ‘borderless’ pool and a private children’s pool. In other words, something to suit every taste and age for those who enjoy ‘getting into the swim’ of things.
There will be a private courtyard for real sun worshippers, an outdoor massage hut, an area set aside for anyone who wants to practice yoga, and a Japanese-style Zen garden.
Add to these Jacuzzis, saunas and gyms and the health aspects of the complex should more than satisfy most tastes.
Of course, as with all projects of this style and quality, there is 24-hour security, both in terms of a physical presence with uniformed guards and a reliable safety keycard system as well as CCTV.
Construction was due to begin in the third quarter of 2012 with a completion date sometime in the fourth quarter of 2014. All told UNIXX will consist of just over 1,200 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units on the seven rai block of land.
The units will start at 40,000 baht per square metre with the entry level price for a unit being 1.6 million baht. The smallest units are 22 square metres, the largest 62 square metres.
Although the sizes may seem on the compact side, the design team at Raimon Land have come up with space-saving ideas and concepts which are intended to offer a visual feeling of space. Built-in wardrobes and kitchen cabinets help efficiently utilize the available space while 2.7 metre high ceilings give a greater feeling of depth.
There are four interior colour options available for customization. Customers who purchase off the plan are able to personalize their home with a choice of grey, brown, beige or black collections that restyle tiles, counters and accessories, as well as kitchen cabinets and other fine accessories.
