Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd.announced its cumulative sales in the passenger car market for the first three quarters of 2017 reached a total of 93,271 units. Honda’s total sales for the first three quarters of this year are up 14.4% over the same period last year, which has enabled Honda to capture 33% market share with the highest cumulative sales in all three main market segments, which are sub-compact, compact, and SUV vehicles. These results demonstrate customers’ trust and confidence in Honda products, which meet all customer requirements and lifestyles.
Thanks to the continuous and overwhelming customer acceptance of Honda automobiles from the beginning of 2017 through September, Honda’s cumulative sales for the first three quarters of the year reached 93,271 units, up 14.4% compared to the same period last year. As a result, Honda has captured a 33% market share, achieving the highest cumulative sales for the first nine months of 2017 in all major segments of Thailand’s automobile market. In the sub-compact segment, Honda captured a 48.4% market share with cumulative sales of 41,861 units (Honda City 25,359 units and Honda Jazz 16,502 units); a 51.7% market share in the compact car segment with cumulative sales of 20,576 units (Honda Civic 18,458 units and Honda Civic Hatchback 2,118 units); and was especially strong in the SUV segment, capturing an overwhelming 62.8% market share with cumulative sales of 23,989 units (Honda HR-V 11,637 units, Honda CR-V 7,718 units, and Honda BR-V 4,634 units).

*Total sales of passenger cars from January to September 2017 were an estimated 282,833 units, which is 17.4% growth compared to the same period of 2016 (240,816 units). Total sales for all vehicles for the total market were approximately 620,715 units, which is 11.5% growth compared to the same period of 2016 (556,525 units).
