Bangkok–13 Nov–InterContinental Bangkok

InterContinental Bangkok has been rated as Asia’s Leading City Hotel, Thailand’s Leading Hotel, and Thailand’s Leading Business Hotel in this year’s World Travel Awards 2020.

The World Travel Awards brand, currently celebrating its 27th anniversary, is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries.

The voting process is online and a yearlong communications campaign encourages global participation. The votes come from qualified executives working within travel and tourism and from the consumer travel buyer.

Business Traveller magazine has ranked InterContinental Bangkok at number two as the Best Business Hotel In Thailand in its Asia-Pacific Awards 2020.

The annual poll, now in its 29th year, marks the best in the region’s travel and hospitality industry as voted by 30,000-plus individuals who are frequent travellers.

Although there hasn’t been much travelling this year, readers still voted for their favourite airlines, hotels and airports. A voting poll was sent to Business Traveller’s Asia-Pacific subscribers between April and June, and market research company Business Intelligence independently compiled the results.

InterContinental Bangkok is situated right in the heart of the Ratchaprasong area, the core of Bangkok’s business and commercial districts. Nearby are many international companies, numerous embassies, and top-flight medical facilities.

The banqueting, meeting and convention facilities are amongst the city’s most spacious and versatile. The hotel has 19 function rooms, the largest an elegant Grand Ballroom accommodating up to 1,000 guests for cocktail style events, weddings and similar occasions. The hotel’s dedicated exhibition area takes in a spacious hall with capacity of up to 2,000 visitors and exhibitors.
