Two top hotels brands face off as Full Metal Dojo MMA signs sponsorship deals with

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and Four Points by Sheraton

Full Metal Dojo, Thailand’s top MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) organization, is pleased to announce a major new partnership with two of the world’s leading hotel & resorts organizations, in an unprecedented deal in sports sponsorship history.

The two hotels will go head to head by each sponsoring the red and blue corners for the next three Full Metal Dojo MMA events in Bangkok, Thailand. The Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok will be sponsoring the red corner, up against the Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15 in the blue corner.

In MMA, as in boxing, the two groups of fighters on an event’s fight card are divided into red and blue corners, representing the stations for the fighters and their teams of corner men.

Not only will each hotel brand see their names appear in the red and blue corners of the MMA fight cage, but the two opposing groups of fighters will each be staying at their corner’s sponsoring hotel. The events will therefore see two groups of guest MMA fighters representing each hotel, before facing off against each other in the MMA cage, in a spectacular brand-versus-brand deal unseen before in combat sports sponsorship.

Not only that, but the two hotels in question are already competitors, being the top two hotels on the same street in downtown Bangkok, with Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok facing off against Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15. Sukhumvit Road is one of the main streets in Bangkok, famous as a center for tourism, entertainment and glitzy shopping malls. Soi 15 is located in the Asok area of Bangkok, right in the heart of the city that never sleeps.

Bangkok is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, and this sponsorship deal will promote these leading hotel chains to an even greater audience with Full Metal Dojo (FMD), Thailand’s leading event organizer of Mixed Martial Arts, the fastest growing sport in the world.

In return for their sponsorship, the two hotels will receive exclusive branding rights to the opposing red and blue corner logos in the Full Metal Dojo cage, and a whole range of other benefits, such as PR opportunities with the fighters, and individualized video content creation from FMD.

And with Full Metal Dojo’s upcoming TV series of past and future MMA events coming soon to True Sports, Thailand’s leading sports network, the deal is expected to give the hotels further new exposure as MMA explodes in Thailand.

At the press conference alongside Full Metal Dojo founder, Jon Nutt, Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok GM, Simon P Rindlisbacher said, “It is great to be part of upcoming FMD events again and seeing it getting more and more popular too. Also happy to support Jon and his passionate and hardworking team too.”

Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15 GM Peter Nicholas Lucas added, “We are delighted to be partnering up once again with the great FMD series in Bangkok. FMD aligns well with Four Points by Sheraton concepts of competition, sport, fun and entertainment. We are excited for the next FMD Bangkok in early June and the many more to follow.”

Full Metal Dojo is well-known for putting it’s fighters first, with fighter-friendly contracts and high-quality fighter care. The opposing groups of red and blue corner fighters can expect the best facilities, hospitality, service and dining that the city has to offer, and they prepare for their fights in the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 and Four Points by Sheraton Bangkok, Sukhumvit 15.

And both hotels are just a short walk away from the venue for FMD’s upcoming event – FMD11: Sweep all the Legs, on June 4th at Insanity Nightclub, Sukhumvit soi 12, Bangkok. Full ticket and event information here:
