Hooters pushes out two more big locations: in Nana and Pattaya

Hooters, the well-known American restaurant franchise opened its iconic brand to great fanfare in January with grand openings of its newest Thailand restaurants, Hooters Nana and Hooters Pattaya.

This latest expansion means there are now four Hooters franchises in Thailand, with the original pair being located at Sukhumvit Soi 15 in Bangkok and the other in Phuket.

On Friday 15 January, Hooters Nana welcomed a raft of guests to its 271-seat restaurant set within 630 square metres of space and boasting it’s very own Authentic Rodeo Bull ride for customers who want to indulge their inner “Urban Cowboy”. Also featured are 21 high-definition flat screen televisions, live music and DJs, all set in the heart of the bustling Nana tourist district of Sukhumvit. Hooters Nana will showcase the brand’s iconic Hooters Girls, serving American menu favourites and the famous Hooters Wings. Hooters Nana opens every day from 8:00am through to late at night, seven days a week.

The Pattaya Hooters opened its doors the following night. Located on Pattaya Beach Road, Hooters Pattaya is the largest international Hooters location with approximately 3,300 square metres of floor area accommodating nearly 500 seats, two bars, 40 high-definition televisions, huge screen and two outdoor patios.

Garry Murray, CEO of Destination Resorts maintains his confidence in the Hooters brand, evidenced by their growing popularity of the brand year on year. The company aims to open 30 new Hooters locations around the Asian region in the next five years. “Following on from successes in Phuket and Sukhumvit 15, we plan to revitalize the Nana area and provide a more exciting option for both local and international tourists,” Mr. Murray said.

He added, “To open the largest Hooters restaurant in the world provides its own challenges, however I am confident with the growing tourism industry in Pattaya and a solid international brand such as Hooters, will bring an added vibrancy to Pattaya City and create an attraction for visitors and residents alike.”

Along with its noted service and hospitality standards, Hooters brand exemplifies its social responsibility commitment in Thailand. The company has initiated a number of successful day trips for local charities such as Holland Homes and the Camillian Care Homes, providing a bit of fun and happiness for the charities’ children. Hooters Asia is also active in supporting the Hooters worldwide charity campaign of Breast for Breast Cancer, asking patrons to #GiveAHoot and join the fight against Breast Cancer.

Hooters Asia tries to be a lot more than just a workplace for its employees, offering an exciting working environment but also combines this with the opportunity for its staff to undergo training which can lead to promotion and opportunities to succeed and grow within the company.

The girls who pass the Hooters employment criteria test are well looked after in terms of working in a challenging and responsive environment, with management providing an attractive salary package and the opportunity for employees to travel and work in different locations in Thailand.

The company has announced that Hooters will be expanding soon into other tourist destinations and cites where it believes the brand will be popular, including Koh Samui, Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen. This will result in seven Hooters locations in Thailand, with potential for even more down the track.
