Amdocs’ product leadership in Asia Pacific recognized for fifth consecutive year

Amdocs, the leading provider of customer experience systems and services, today announced that it has been named for “BSS Innovation of the Year” and “OSS Innovation of the Year” in Telecom Asia’s 2013 Readers’ Choice & Innovation Awards. The annual awards recognize technological innovation and industry contributions made by top vendors operating in the Asia Pacific communications space.

“Amdocs continues to lead innovation in the communications industry, with several market firsts this year, including its launch of CES 9, the first portfolio of integrated network control and business and operational support systems, and its deployment at Globe Telecom in the Philippines, the largest and fastest transformation project our region has known,” said Joseph Waring, group editor of Telecom Asia. “This leadership position is clearly reflected by the fact that Asia Pacific service providers have now recognized Amdocs for product leadership five years in a row.”

“Amdocs is committed to the Asia Pacific market, and we are extremely honored to win the Telecom Asia 2013 Readers’ Choice & Innovation Awards in both BSS and OSS categories,” said Rebecca Prudhomme, vice president for product and solutions marketing at Amdocs. “Our 2013 Asia Pacific InTouch Customer Business Forum in Singapore was our largest ever with more than 300 participants, including 200 customer executives, providing further testament to our strengthening local relationships.”

Examples of how Amdocs is supporting local service providers:

At Globe Telecom, Amdocs delivered a major BSS and business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse (DW) transformation project, one of the largest and fastest transformations in the industry and a market-first in Asia Pacific.

At XL Axiata, one of Indonesia’s leading mobile service providers, with almost 50 million subscribers, deployment of the Amdocs Mobile Payments solution has enabled XL to be the first in Asia Pacific to offer direct carrier billing for Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store.

At True Corporation, the only local quad-play provider in Thailand, Amdocs is providing ongoing support and development services for True’s convergent billing platform.

At Reliance Communications, India’s third-largest broadband and communications company, the upgrade to Amdocs Customer Management 8.1 Smart Client helped Reliance reduce call handling time in support of 1.5 million daily customer interactions and better serve its more than 120 million customers.

At LinkNet, Indonesia’s largest cable operator, an upgrade to Amdocs Smart Pack 8.5 is helping the service provider drive growth in network footprint and expansion of broadband and Pay-TV product portfolio.
