The uniquely named Turtle Creek boutique
The uniquely named Turtle Creek boutique apartments development promises to add yet another quality dimension to the ever-growing list of condominiums situated in the prestigious Pratumnak Hill area of south Pattaya.
The developer, a Belgian expatriate named Tanguy Cogels, has subtitled the Turtle Creek boutique apartments project as ‘selling lifestyles’, and it certainly appears as though he is keen to allow potential purchasers to have as much input into the design and fitting out of any apartment as is feasible under the circumstances.
The word ‘boutique’ is often thrown around in property circles, as if by just using this emotively cosy word a developer can convince potential purchasers THAT they will be making a truly peaceful lifestyle choice. Well, in the case of Turtle Creek, ‘boutique’ really will mean what it’s supposed to mean. The apartment complex, which will be built ON Pratumnak Soi 4, will consist of only 31 units and rise just eight storeys making it exclusive in terms of numbers of potential residents, There are 28 one and two-bedroom apartments and three duplexes, on the top floor.
The development is situated just across from the Asia Hotel Golf Course, so if you’re a keen golfer there probably could not be a more perfect central position for your home. Even if you’re not a golfer, the tranquility of living so close to a relaxing, open green space in Pattaya is its own reward. Equally, wandering down the road 150 metres will take you to the beach, and the views out across part of Pattaya Bay towards Koh Larn.
The other great advantage of the Pratumnak Hill area is its proximity to the plethora of restaurants and nightlife for which Pattaya is known.
While the developer may not be as well known as some others in the city, Tanguy Cogels already has a CV which includes property development. Although his main work centred around creating and running a prestigious restaurant and catering business in Belgium, Tanguy also featured more than once in property development in Brussels, buying, renovating and selling properties in the Belgian capital.
Turtle Creek is Tanguy’s retirement project. Having retired and come to live in Pattaya, he found he was becoming bored and decided to get involved in doing something other than watching the sunrise and the sunset each day.
Turtle Creek, which is so aptly named because of his love and affinity with turtles the world over, became that something. It is completely self-funded and Tanguy refused to launch it to the public until the all-important Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was approved.
Of course, no serious development in Pattaya comes without its own showroom, for those who are in the area to be able to come and look at and get a proper hands-on feel for the eventual finished product, or a dedicated website, for those who aren’t able to turn up in person, but who still want to get a little more ‘meat’ on the bones of the project.
The showroom is currently up and running in Pratumnak Soi 5, while the website is: Hyperlink “http://www.turtlecreekthailand.com” www.turtlecreekthailand.com
Purchasers who may want to have their own colour matches for the internal walls can choose from literally hundreds of matches, or they can even go with wallpaper. Entry prices start at 4.2 million baht for a 50-square-metre unit and rise to 30 million baht for a 300-square-metre duplex. Turtle Creek is now under construction and slated for completion by the end of 2017.
