Thai Garden Resort keeps up its high standards

The Thai Garden Resort is one of Pattaya’s longest-established and most successful businesses. Opened in 1988, it is primarily a hotel, centrally located along North Pattaya Road and therefore close to everything Pattaya has to offer.

The spacious, open-air lobby is designed to reflect a traditional Thai welcome for guests, with beautiful orchid arrangements and original applique murals, created by artisans from Chiang Mai. The hotel covers an expanse of 25,000 square metres, with beautifully kept tropical gardens a key addition to its intended relaxing atmosphere. The Thai Garden Resort consists of 228 rooms, with no buildings higher than two storeys, which is perfectly in line with the intimate comfort of the hotel.

The Thai Garden prides itself on the fact their guests really do appreciate ‘the personal touch’ for which the hotel is known.  Many of the 160 staff have been with the hotel for a long time, which reflects well on both the management and the working conditions in the resort.

Over the last few years the hotel has undergone some major renovations, with an added emphasis on environmental concerns.  Management have made a significant long-term investment in solar panels, which provide the hot water to the rooms. The hotel continues an environmentally sustainable policy throughout the complex, for example, cutting out unnecessary packaging.

A major feature of the Thai Garden Resort is its nightly poolside buffet. At just 399 baht (and that is the Net price; there is no added service charge or VAT) the buffet represents outstanding value for money. Naturally, the hotel is well aware that many families will be keen to partake of the buffet, and so those with children under 12 years of age are charged just 199 baht, and infants under four years old are free.

Each night has a different theme. On Monday’s it is that old standard of pizza and pasta; Tuesday the theme turns to a big barbeque buffet; Wednesday is a potpourri-like selection with a mixture of foods designed to suit all tastes; Thursday is a German buffet with roasted pig; Friday sees Thai cuisine as the feature to start the weekend; Saturday is an international buffet and Sunday it’s steaks and skewers.

Importantly, the ingredients used for each nightly buffet is of the best quality. While the price remains sensational value, the management have not scrimped on the freshness and quality of the foods they offer for the buffet.

At the moment the management have a special promotion where customers who buy six coupons can receive one buffet dinner coupon for free. A great promotion for a family who may wish to try the different buffet styles on offer throughout their stay at the Thai Garden Resort.

The buffet begins at 6:00pm every night and service continues until 9:00pm. From Tuesday to Sunday there is live entertainment around the buffet area by way of the Thai Garden Resort’s strolling trio band from the Philippines. Of course, the buffet is not limited to hotel guests, anyone and everyone is welcome, although given its popularity it is suggested a reservation is made (either phone 038 370614 or email them: [email protected]).
