Gyproc raises interior construction standards nationwide with dual launch of new products

Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, the manufacturer of leading gypsum solutions under the brand “Gyproc”, introduces its latest innovative products for a better, easier and more sustainable indoor construction: Gyproc® M2Tech Board, a smart ‘Moisture and Mold Resistant’ gypsum board, is developed for usage in wet and high-humidity areas; and GypCote TOTAL Skim Coat Plaster provides a high quality skim coat finish that is specially formulated for “No Primer Required” properties. It provides higher efficiency on application and is kind to the environment. These two products are launched under the company’s ethos of Gyproc Go Green, a health-conscious product development strategy that benefits the health of anyone working in the gypsum production line as well as end users and consumers. The company will distribute Gyproc® M2Tech & GypCote TOTAL through its 400 dealers across the country, offering new standards in interior construction throughout Thailand.

Gyproc® M2Tech Board provides a 9mm, moisture and mold-resistant gypsum board for wet and high-humidity areas. Due to its hygienic quality of inhibition against mold and bacteria, it suits areas of low ventilation such as hospitals, schools and children’s homes. Easy installation and ready for painting or wallpaper attachment, Gyproc® M2Tech can be used for wall and ceiling application of new construction or renovation projects. It should be applied with Gyproc Mold Resistant Fiber Tape and Gyproc Moisture and Mold Resistant Jointing Compound for an ultimate and entire solution. Gyproc® M2Tech board achieved scores of 10 per ASTMD 3273, as it is able to resist the growth of mold across more than 20 species. ASTM D 3273 is the industry standard test for resistance to mold growth on the surface of interior coatings in the environment chamber, with 10 being the best possible rating.
GypCote TOTAL Skim Coat provides a high quality super smooth and “Crack-Free” skim coat finish for a wide range of internal surfaces such as cement-rendered concrete, hollow block walls, pre-cast concrete panels and drywalls, gypsum boards and fiber-cement boards. It is recommended to be used in all types of construction from high-rise offices and condominiums to hospitals, schools and residential housing projects. GypCote TOTAL provides a superior level of surface uniformity and visual finish to walls and ceilings making them ready to final decoration with “No-Primer Required” paints, or as a base of wallpaper and other decorative finishes.
Thai Gypsum Products plans to offer both products through its 400 dealers nationwide, including Gyproc Zones and Gyproc Centers. There are four locations of Gyproc Center: BuilderSmart Public Company Limited, Rama 3 Road; 3D Mat Company Limited, Phutthamonthon Sai 2; Chokchai 2 Glass Pattaya Company Limited, Pattaya, and the newest branch at Phuket Kasem Co., Ltd, Phuket. Thai Gypsum Products also plans to open a further one or two more Gyproc Center locations by 2015.
Gyproc Zone is now installed at many locations in Bangkok and in provinces and offers a comprehensive Gyproc installer and product selection experience. There are further locations set to be opened, to reach a total of 22 locations by the end of this year.
