The launch of All New Suzuki Celerio followed the debut of Celerio in India. It was derived from Suzuki A: Wind Concept, the energy efficient model that made the world premier in Thailand International Motor Expo at the end of 2013.

All New Suzuki Celerio, as Suzuki’s second eco-car, is not only powered by 1.0-liter engine, but also outstanding for its sleek design, high roof, spacious passenger compartment and 254-liter luggage compartment. Offering perfect driving experience in the city and upcountry, Suzuki Celerio is very well received and wins the leading position in the compact car segment. As the market leader, Suzuki takes compact cars and eco-cars to the next level with the technology of 1.0-liter engine, which has high performance and superior energy-efficient quality.

Mr. Wallop Treererkngam, Sales and Marketing Director of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd., revealed, “Suzuki Motor (Thailand) is trusted by Suzuki Motor Corporation to be the production base of Suzuki Celerio. In the factory in Rayong province, Suzuki Celerio is designed to serve the needs of its target groups, which are the customers in working age and students. To ensure the joy of driving, we’ve brought the new standard to this segment by offering spacious passenger compartment and cost efficiency. In addition to its success in Thai market, Suzuki Celerio expands its export to Asian and European market and is especially well received in Europe. This is such a great pride for Suzuki because the cars that meet the international standard are produced by Thai people. Furthermore, being globally accepted is a chance to expand the distribution channel and generate income for the country.”

As the crucial production base, the factory in Thailand has the capacity to produce 50,000 cars a year and ability to meet various requirements. The Company also aims to annually export about 30,000 cars to Europe. In response to eco-car project, Suzuki will increase its capacity to 100,000 cars per year in 2016.

In Thailand, Suzuki has been holding various promotional activities, such as winning two Suzuki Celerio and five iPhone 5S weekly as well as test drive at Suzuki showrooms countrywide, to enhance the driving experience and build the confidence among drivers. Furthermore, the Company aims to increase the showrooms to 100 across the country within 2014.
