Big C teams up with 4 leading insurance operators to wade in retail assurance market aiming to exceed 1 billion baht premium by 2016
Big C Supercenter Plc today launches its first-ever retail assurance service under the name “Big C Care You” by teaming up with 4 leading insurance operators with the aim to offer services in 50 stores by 2013 before covering the whole country by 2014.
Dr. Sarintip Satitsatian, Vice President for Business Development of Big C Supercenter Plc, reveals that “retail assurance market is growing quickly and has high growth potential as consumers are more aware of the need to plan and save for the future as well as prepare for unexpected events. Insurance operators are coming up with new products to fulfill consumers’ needs. However, only 30% of Thai citizens hold insurance policies at the moment and this presents an enormous growth potential.”
